Fresh from the oven, bangers upon bangers, heaters on heaters. KNAS won’t fail to get you in the groove with heavy hittin drops. Jovicii, a fusion between John Dahlback and Avicii gave birth to “Don’t Hold back”, a hell of a song overall with great vocals by Andi P, (highly recommended download). Avicii didn’t stop there as he remixes Enrique’s “I Like It feat. Pitbull”. And of course, you can never leave out the dirty Dutch, with a couple releases from Afrojack and Chuckie worth downloading. Now that our video section is up and running, it’s our job at STS to bring you the freshest edits the Internet has to offer. Our dedicated team of film junkies searches for content under a strict set of evaluation criteria, so you know each video we post is absolute fire. We want to keep you coming back for more, and that’s exactly what we intend on doing.

Without further ado, the newest addition to the Silverlake Selects Reel is an underwater edit by studioAira called “LIQUIFY!”. The edit features a track by Toro y Moi, a South Carolina-based experimental group whose falsetto vocals and flowing baselines make you want to jump through your screen and into the crashing waves in the video. The group just finished up a nation-wide tour with fellow experimentalists, Caribou, and are on their way to big things in the indie circuit. Do yourself a favor and check out their blog and their Myspace.

ESPAÑA - Iniesta's goal

So it’s the middle of the summer and your feeling lazy to go out and find good music, more specifically, good hip-hop. Well, that could be a problem since there really is no “hot” hip-hop around right now, other than Big Boi’s solo debut album “Sir Lucious Left Foot… The Son of Chico Dusty” . It appears that we’ll all have to wait until J. Cole and Big Sean drop their debuts sometime soon. Its more unfortunate that we’ll have to wait even longer for Kanye and Cudi to drop their bombs on reportedly same days. As for now, who cares about hip-hop because house music is really what matters, since its been delivering quite consistently. If you’re not into house/electro yet, either you have a shitty taste in music or you haven’t really given it a listen yet.

Wolfgang Gartner & Laidback Luke: NYC

WHERES WALDO??!!!

After getting the real experience of seeing Wolfgang Gartner and Laidback Luke at Pacha NYC I couldn’t resist spreading el fuego to the rest of you. It was by far the best show I’ve been to and I was able see that there really are no boundaries in categorizing their “superhero powers” since the show itself was superhero themed. Laidback Luke even busted out some heavy dub-step and Wolfgang pressed hard with Tech House and electro. Recently theres been a banga floating around, spreading like tuna on bread…which is literally what the song is called: “Atun Con Pan”. This song is straight crack as quite a few DJs have been using this for build-ups, including Laidback Luke last saturday. Laidback Luke surprised us with bringing in Wynter Gordon to play “Dirty Talk”, his biggest hit. Also be sure check out the new music video for “Till Tonight” though I’m not sure how I feel about it.

Furthermore, I managed to get my hands on Wolfgang’s latest single released on the 9th called “Conscindo” of which I can’t get enough of right now. Also included are a few other Wolfgang Gartner tracks if your not familiar with him, “Morning After Dark” ft. Timbaland appears a favorite as well as one his latest single “Undertaker”. Take it all up & soak it in like the city of Cleveland is trying to do now, thats pretty serious.

Scientists at Silverlake to Soho’s Laboratory of Crushing have found this Dutch saying to resonate with truth and reason.
