Markus Schulz at Pacha
Have no fear, the unicorn slayer is returning to Pacha since his last visit in June. February 24th, Pacha will be booming with the sounds of dark progressive trance and an extremely loyal following. Schulz is known for playing music mostly from his label ranging from artists such as Khomha, Mr. Pit, Tucandeo, and his own moniker, Dakota. Out of most trance producers, Markus Schulz has pretty much a cult. People may love Armin but Schulz’s following have been known to follow him show after show around the country.
His podcast, Global DJ Broadcast (GDJB), is just as well known for showcasing the dark progressive talent on his label, Coldharbour Recordings. Each week, Schulz also tweets his tracklistings just to make sure you don’t miss a single beat. Below I’ve embedded one of his GDJB from a few weeks ago, and if you take a listen you’ll hear the characteristically dark chords and build ups that result in heavier basslines than most typical trance artists.
