Martin Solveig should be a household name by now or at least fairly well recognized.  If not in the edm world by his famous tennis match with Bob Sinclair, then for sure by the Trident Vitality gum commercial that dropped his track “Hello!” with Dragonette countless times on the airwaves.  I hear the track “Hello” being dropped everywhere, east coast, midwest, etc.  It’s a track that you don’t have to know edm really to get into.  His tracks are poppy but with electro twists and he likes to work with Dragonette for vocals, which makes him easy to understand for a lot of people.  It will be actually interesting to see what kind of set he drops.  And he does remind me of an older French Michael Cera.

So it’s all the more fun that Martin Solveig’s coming Wednesday to Necto, continuing the Voltage Series with another star studded DJ.  Opening up for him is one of University of Michigan’s own, Chad Stark or DJ Stark Nak3d so come support one of our own.  Tickets are still on sale if you click here.  Usual information applies, doors open at 9, event goes on till 2.  Necto is on East Liberty.
