Who are these cats?

If all goes according to S.Y.O.R.’s plan, that question will never be answered.

Operating under the aliases Maza, Kid.Digit-ø, Ceddy and 07017 the members of StartYourOwnRebellion aim to “live under the radar“.

What are these cats about?

“We have come together to free the world from the evil Cozack Corporation. For the last 700 years, every single Global President has been under the control of Kerry A. Cozack through an advanced version of the civilian chips you have lodged in your forearms. Aside from being watched constantly, you are also being robbed of your freedom to express yourselves as individuals. It is said that the most dangerous man in these times is an inspired one. Well, we’re inspired, and wont stop until everyone knows the truth. We encourage you all to remove your civilian chips and live under the radar. Join us and Start Your Own Rebellion!!!!”

Confused? Success. They’ve got you halfway intrigued.

StartYourOwnRebellion builds their motives on a futuristic story set in fictitious Octagon City during year 3020:

“All forms of expression including Music, Art, Free Speech, Etc have been banned by law. Everyone is being watched by the Cozack Corporation. They now have complete control over the whole world. StartYourOwnRebellion will not stand for it and plan to rebel and stop the Cozack Corporation from what they are doing.”

Perhaps this virtual band can be seen as a movement?

S.Y.O.R. – Right Here:

I’m a sucker for hip hop that takes you levels deep and leaves you in a ponder.

Built on a very interesting concept, S.Y.O.R. has me curious to see what will come of this fresh project – which in itself is exciting. Music that test norms and pushes boundaries is always welcome at STS – let’s hope this mystery team makes their place.
