Divas and gents, it is my pleasure to introduce electro house visionary and good friend Rob Chouake, or better known by Chobot (like his facebook page). Rob was originally programmed in Englewood, New Jersey but is currently stationed at the University of Michigan studying pre-med (yeah, he’s strange). When not exiled to the library in pursuit of becoming Dr. Chobotnik, Chobot is hard at work whipping up some intergalactic crushables using his logic and reason. After signing in April with Miles Dyson‘s prestigious electro label Plasmapool Records, which includes the talents of Mord Fustang and Hypster, Chobot has unleashed his debut track “Video Game Slang” on Beatport today! Flirting with the most captivating elements of electro house and progressive house, Rob Cho successfully delivers fuego to the fourth degree. “Video Game Slang” brings you a flurry of fluid progressive builds intertwined with a volatile and gritty drop. Backed with Plasmapools cutting-edge production, Chobot’s cyborg slang stimulates (and electrifies) the senses you never knew existed and yet strays from being too busy. In other words, my description nor the preview does justice to the track as a whole, so that means you HAVE to buy it here on Beatport!
IMPORTANT: Please help our fellow space cadet get into the lineup for Identity Electronic Music Festival by voting for all three of his tracks “Video Game Slang“, “Passion Fruit“, and “Don’t Worry” HERE and make sure to confirm your vote via email. He’s been as high as 6th place and could really use your help to win the contest!
Here’s some of his previous tracks that you can download (just right-click and ‘save as…’ to download)!
