LeapYear-Front

It’s finally here, Hoodie Allen’s much awaited album, Leap Year! 6 months in the making and the effort really paid off. The end result is possibly one of the best albums I’ve heard so far this year.

This album really highlights Hoodie’s versatility and growth, and I know that word is thrown around a lot in rap, but I think it really fits here. Hoodie says, “I wanted Leap Year to mirror my life and experiences–it’s fun, crazy, sarcastic, and introspective– its me growing up on record”, and that’s exactly what he did. This, compared to Pep Rally, is an improvement on his overall sound. He sings, he raps, he just destroys these beats, bluntly put. He’s just a funny guy making some real ass music.

If you want to download the album (you want to download this album), you can do so on his website, just click the album art! Follow Hoodie on twitter, @HoodieAllen, and fan him on Facebook
