Fourth of July may be on a Wednesday (which sort of sucks) but that just gives us the excuse to go out and party Tuesday night worry free. The Germans are coming in for the American history celebration and this time they’re bringing techno in the form of Ostgut Ton Night – thanks to BlkMarket Membership, who are known for their great underground parties throughout New York City and Brooklyn. In fact, they deserve a lot of credit for bringing in names that really show the spectrum of electronic music, that other promoters may not dare to take on despite their talent.
For those not familiar, Ostgut Ton is the label that houses the following names. Well respected and talented, Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann are known to bring in the harder style of techno sound to their sets. This label night will see them go b2b on a set. Joining them is Nick Höppner, who has held down residencies at Berghain/Panoramabar in Germany as well as having the impressive repertoire himself. Opening for them both are Blkmarket’s own Taimur and Fahad.
Just to give you a taste of what’s coming up, here is a set of Klock & Dettmann from Awakenings festival
And a taste of Nick Hoppner as well:
