Max Vangeli Exclusive Interview
Hailing from the San Francisco, Max Vangeli was deemed “DJ to watch for 2011.” Truer words could not have been said. Vangeli hopped on the scene in 2010 with major releases such as the remix he did with AN21 (Steve Angello‘s younger brother) for The Island by Pendulum and Swedish Beauty. His talent was first recognized by both Pete Tong and Chris Lake, who first signed him. Now he is coming out with his first original album called “People of the Night.”
His LAVO performance that night was quite an exciting one, with his new track “People of the Night” being dropped later on in the set. It was very interesting to see him play by himself, unaccompanied by AN21 who was in Europe at the time. He brought out the unexpected, and I found myself dropping my jaw to quite a few tracks that I didn’t recognize which is a feat in itself. The crowd this time at LAVO was more aware of who the man behind the booth, and was down to dance in full force until he stepped off stage at close to 4am.
