Two summer ago I played for a semi-professional soccer team where I lived with seven dudes (on run) from England. Prior to that I hadn’t had much exposure to the house music scene. All it took was one long road trip and a Ministry of Sound Anthems compilation and my life was forever changed. Seven hours in a van crushing the likes of Eric Prydz, Benny Bennassi, Ian Van Dahl, ATB, and Armand Van Helden was an eye opening experience.

I’m focusing this post on the hits of Armand Van Helden. His work has sparked spontaneous dance parties for decades and every track offers something distinctly special. From disco fever to contemporary club bangers Armand Van Helden never ceases to offer a glorious return to a sound that forces you to move your feet and throw one finger in the air.
