I know, I searched for 20 minutes in the settings for the options to turn off the background images with no luck. If they can lose the images and clean up the design, I'll switch in a heartbeat

I think Big will be great but it still needs to evolve. It's just so new and I don't think it is nearly complete/ elegant when you compare it to Google. Also, I agree that Google is far better if you know exactly what you want (like the name of a song based on a few lyrics…half of my google searches these days).
