Little Boots - New In Town (Fred Falke remix)
Falke, a French based house producer and DJ of German origin, started out as a bass player around 1995 before turning his hand to production work in the late 1990s. His first record, a collaboration with Alan Braxe named Intro, which sampled The Jets 1987 hit Crush On You, was released in 2000 on Vulture Music. Since then, he's produced countless tracks for a number of mainstream rock and electronic artists ranging from Little Boots, Gossip, U2, Annie, Grizzly Bear, Uffie, Ladyhawke, Lykke Li, La Roux to Goldfrapp, Röyksopp,Kelis Justice, and Miami Horror.

This particular track, released 2009, is responsible for converting many of my friends to the genre of house music. The rest was history.

The Lost Brothers feat. G Tom Mac - Cry Little Sister (I Need U Now)
What a tune! G Tom Mac's vocals are biblical on this track. "Cry Little Sister" is a highly successful gothic rock song released on the Atlantic Records in 1987 by Gerard McMahon (under the pseudonym of Gerard McMann). Boasting record sales in excess of 7 million copies worldwide, the song is now deemed to be a 'gothic rock anthem'.
Although Cry Little Sister was released as a single, it was originally recorded as the theme song to Joel Schumacher's cult comedy-horror film The Lost Boys. As such the song is included on the film's soundtrack album.

In 2003 the song was covered by Brighton based band of DJs Harry Diamond, Keiron McTernon and Sergei Hall -- The Lost Brothers. Their version, a dance remix featuring original vocals by G TOM MAC, was released as a single under the title "Cry Little Sister (I Need U Now)".

Sash! - Encore Une Fois

French for once again/one more time), Encore Une Fois is a Trance song created by international DJ team Sash! in 1997. It found huge success in clubs throughout the world and is considered one of Sash!'s biggest hits to date. The song also features vocals from German vocalist Sabine Ohmes.

This track takes me back to pre-game locker room. I don't remember losing after hearing this song during warm-ups. That's #winning.

Armand Van Helden - MyMyMy (StoneBridge Remix)

"My My My" is a song by Armand Van Helden. It contains a sample of the song "Comin' Apart" by Gary Wright. The track was produced in 2004 and included on the album Nympho. Featured on the 2006 UK CD Single, was this remix by StoneBridge, the pseudonym for the Swedish DJ and record producer, Sten Hallström.

Simian Mobile Disco - I Believe

Simian Mobile Disco are a UK based production and remix team. The band was formed in 2005 by James Ford and Jas Shaw of the band Simian. In addition to his work with Simian Mobile Disco, James Ford is a producer and has worked with bands such as Florence & the Machine, Arctic Monkeys,Peaches and Klaxons. I believe was released on the 2007 album Attack Decay Sustain Release.

Underworld - Born Slippy.NUXX

"Born Slippy .NUXX" is a 1996 single by the band Underworld.

It was preceded in January 1995 by the single "Born Slippy", which featured the ".NUXX" mix as a B-side. The band has stated that the pounding, relentless rhythm and shouted lyrics of the track were originally meant "as a joke", and the single received little attention. They have also said in a Guardian interview that the song is intended to sound "like an alcoholic's internal dialogue" and that Karl Hyde was a functional alcoholic at the time. Underworld have claimed that the ".NUXX" name was inspired by a computer fault that added that suffix to the name of their working files.

Linus Loves ft. Sam Obernik - Stand Back

Best known for this cover of the 1983 Stevie Nicks' tune (#31 in the UK Singles Chart in November 2003), Linus Loves is a British dance music group and remix/production musical ensemble. The group originally consisted of DJs and producers Duncan Reid and Kevin McKay, after they co-founded Breastfed Recordings together in 2002 with Myles MacInnes. McKay left the outfit in 2005, and Reid has continued using the moniker until the present day.

Best music video, ever.

Sebastian Tellier - Roche (Breakbot Remix)

Sebastien Tellier (born 1975, Paris) is a French singer (but sings in French, Italian and English!), songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He is currently signed to Record Makers, a French independent record label.

Roche was featured on the album Sexuality, the third by Sébastien Tellier, released on 25 February 2008. The album was produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, who is best known as one of the members of Daft Punk.

Breakbot aka Thibaut Berland is a French producer and DJ who has mastered his unique genre that I would describe as Electro Surf-pop Funk. His sound did not fail to impress with this track.

It's almost that time of the year, here's the list you need for wherever you are going on Spring Break this year. In case you forgot you can always send us recommendations via facebook or @silverlake2soho on twitter.

2009 was definitely the year of Gaga but we threw in a pretty chill remix of telephone featuring Beyonce. 2010 is probably going to be the year of Drake, and a nice send off for weezy. Most of this playlist was inspired by the Yacht Week 2010 video, which we'll throw in at the end of the post incase you haven't seen it already.

We also had to throw in more from Atypicals, which are back by popular demand. We should also mention our good buddy VC (@GoVince) is going to help out sourcing new music!

In the spirit of the groups headed out to Vegas, Ultra in Miami and back to Cabo for an extra round of work, here's a dedicated playlist to rock out. We got a bunch of great recommendations from The house of Cmar, VC, Ms Seegal and my good old bud V.Ravi
