Hello everyone, I’m Paul and will contributing to Silverlake to Soho for a few posts and my forté is trance, electro and progressive house.

I first heard these two tracks when I had the great pleasure to see Kaskade perform at Roseland Ballroom over the Halloween weekend. Given the hazy veil clouding a good portion of the night, I had tremendous difficulty finding these tracks until I heard them again while listening to Kaskade’s newest broadcast of Another Night Out on XM Radio. During the early hours of October 29, 2011, Kaskade had the audience at his palm when he dropped the Feenixpawl Bootleg of Cosmic Love by Florence and the Machine. . However, the grandeur of that moment soon faded as Professor Kaskade gave his class the most riveting lesson in Evolution I have ever had the pleasure to attend by demonstrating the “people moving” power of the adaptations Toca’s Miracle (a song that most electronic-music lovers have played to death) has undergone.

Update on Feenixpawl: The bootleg is now available on their facebook page as well. More recently, we have been teased by Feenixpawl’s upcoming track “In My Mind” which set to release on Axtone in early 2012!

Spotlight on Detroit: Intro

Home of Detroit Techno, Detroit is still musically rich as ever – especially in the EDM scene. As the world moves their eyes onto bigger DJs such as Kaskade who are taking over the media, it is easy to overlook the local scenes. Detroit, once known as the playing grounds for masters such as Richie Hawtin and Carl Craig in earlier years, has been coveting some new gems from the public eye. The music scene here is bustling with a people who have grown up with electronic music and know what good quality is. This attitude is so perceivable that DJs such as Avicii knew that when he came into town, he had to put on a solid set. The culmination of Detroit talent is found in DEMF (Detroit Electronic Music Festival) now called Movement, but it is still not as well known festival for the rest of the country or world. I find that such a shame, because the energy here is so raw between the music and the people that it is really something you have to experience first hand.

While others may say that this musical experience is available in other cities, it is really in Detroit that techno took over as a whole (same with Chicago and house music). New York is not known for a type of EDM music – EDM there is part of a vast flourishing amount of different types of music, underground or overground. Many people I know will disagree with me on this point, especially those from New York but I defend myself now in that this is simply my opinion. When I started exploring the Detroit music scene, it seems that everyone I meet knows at least something about electronic music. When I tell others how I have a substantially large crew at my school who loves EDM and know to get their asses to the venue for Carl Cox, Sbtrkt, Sharam, or Loco Dice, the New Yorkers are genuinely surprised. In New York, EDM seems a segmented group especially when you dive into the more minimal and tech house genres. Here, in Detroit it’s an accepted way of life. There is no need to educate here, you’re already preaching to the choir.

Of course I am only one person, who has had only so many experiences and it is always hard to generalize with electronic music since there are so many nuances, different subgenres, underground and overground movements. However, from what I have seen, these are the conclusions I draw not just from rationalization, but also on a emotionally perceptive level. I know the feeling I get when I go see Carl Craig or Loco Dice in Detroit – as if I’m part of something special, something engrained and that feeling bounces off the people that are around me. There is such a sense of pride, it can only be described by the header picture above of Claude von Stroke holding up the Detroit flag. I have yet to experience that feeling in other cities, but quite frankly I know I won’t because the vibe is just not the same.

This isn’t to belittle other cities and their EDM scene, this is just an effort to explain what goes down in Detroit. There is talent here playing and a people who aren’t afraid to show their love for this music. It is something that I, as a person who has grown up with EDM since I was a child, have grown to appreciate. I want to share that talent and bring the light back on Detroit to show people what I have witnessed. The Spotlight on Detroit series will feature artists I have encountered in my nights here, who I believe merit the attention. Judge me as you will for my thoughts on Detroit, but take a moment to hear the music. I know Detroit has.

If you haven’t heard of Acetronik, allow us to enlighten you. After fronting a band in high school with fellow Chron-Star Chobot (who we’ll be spotlighting in the future), Barnett Lobel decided to put his musical talents to work on Electronic productions in 2009. His style transcends progressive house buildups into MASSIVE, bass-heavy electro drops. Last May, at age 21, he dropped his first official track, which was a collaboration with vocalist Sue Cho (who has been featured on numerous Porter Robinson tracks):

Acetronik is already blowing up and receiving support from prominent producers like Tiesto, Steve Aoki (who dropped “Make Me Feel Good” on an XM radio show a few weeks ago), Darth & Vader, and more. If you haven’t heard of this up & comer, you NEED to familiarize yourself.

Next up is Distantt, Electro House producer fresh on the scene. We found a few of this homie’s tracks last week and were immediately impressed. Since then, we have been talking up his status as an emerging stud to just about everyone that will listen. We didn’t know this Chron-Star, which means you probably don’t either. Before making this post, we stumbled across his Facebook page and found out a little more about his story. When we said we were gonna mention some young talents, we didn’t think it was going to be this young. Turns out this little playa can’t even drive yet. In fact, he’s not even close. Chris Garcia is a 14 year old hailing from Texas. Ya you heard that correctly…FOURTEEN. This kid’s talent is just stupid. Don’t really know how else to describe it. If you are going to check out only one thing we post all year, choose this.

A few tracks from his first EP, “Hyperdrive,” which were made at age 13. (how is this even possible?????) “Ballistic” is probably our personal favorite. Don’t think many 13/14 year olds even know what complextra/electro house even is, let alone be able to produce it at a high quality. What’s up what’s up, I’m BMJR.

I’ll be tossin’ some dope tracks your way as long as my iTunes library keeps growin’ (it will). And if there’s one thing I’ve learned over the past few years, it’s that there are THOUSANDS of hidden gems in that library. I’ve got a wicked habit of downloading as many songs as possible once I hear a new artist–my burden/your blessing I guess. Nero – Been straight LOVIN’ this duo as of late. Released mid-August, Welcome Reality is, in my opinion, an amazing album. They work that electro saw suuuuper hard in a bunch of the tracks, with some soothing vocals from Alana Watson (who happens to be the wife of Nero’s Daniel Stephens). Having missed all of last week’s releases, this fuego is well overdue. The number 20 seems like a good number?

I have a feeling Armin’s run has come to an end for DJ Mags Top DJ. Tiesto is simply the hungriest producer/DJ in the world as he stole the show at Electric Zoo. I saw him fist pump maybe once or twice during the entire set, do you want to know why? He was too busy trying to entertain the rest of us and being the true artist that he is — lighting those turn tables on fuego. After destroying countless eardrums and shitting on the entire EDM population, all he had to say was “My name is Tiesto”. Shortly after he says “This is my new track and I want you all go to maximal crazy.” Maximal Crazy may indeed be Tiesto’s best offering since he joined the house scene.

“Turn It Down” is Kaskade’s latest magical work that features the sumptuous vocals by Swedish duo Rebecca and Fiona. I personally think that Kaskade tweaked up his sound a bit for this feel-good smasher. Reminiscent of goosebumps felt when listening to Avicii and Alesso, this track will not fail in turning that frown upside down. Hats off to Kaskade though, he’s the best we have in the US!

We all remember how nasty the Russian duo’s “Hi Scandinavia!” was. The energy was very similar to Swedish House Mafia’s at the time because of it’s arena style synths and drops.

This release came out of nowhere, and it received quite response when he dropped it during his set at Electric Zoo. “Falling Out of Love” seems like a follow-up to “Embrace” with euphoric melodies, mellow bass and a fluid rhythm from this dream catching house producer. The remix by Tommy Trash was even more unexpected since I had never imagined him working with EDX. The guy is on a mega right now, literally destroying anything in his path with gritty electro remixes. I’m going to start calling the “fuego-matic”. Stay tuned for his upcoming bomb “Future Folk”.

EDX: Electric Zoo Spotlight

Based out of Zurich, Switzerland but an Italian native, EDX is a multi-talented DJ and progressive house producer who’s having another solid year. Despite a history of success, I feel like he’s always been under the radar. It could perhaps stem from the monster names that he’s collaborated with, such as Kaskade in the festival anthems “Don’t Stop Dancing” and “Angel On My Shoulder”. He has remixed the likes of Deadmau5, Benny Benassi, Bob Sinclar, Axwell, Steve Angello, Roger Sanchez, Laidback Luke, Armin van Buuren, Kaskade, Funkagenda, to name a few. Also, he was named in the top 3 progressive house artists of 2009 along side of Deadmau5 and Eric Prydz. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t go see him perform Sunday at Red Bull Riverside from 4:45 to 6:00 — the guy has been in the dance scene as early as 1994, when he began mixing at club Tarot in Zurich.

With a highly anticipated album on the horizon as well as numerous remixes coming up, EDX will (and already has) be taking 2011 by storm with his productions. His newly launched brand, No Xcuses, has taken over the world’s FM airwaves with the No Xcuses radio show. This year he has already released prog bombs like “Szeplo”, “Embrace”, and “Angry Heart”. All of them are unique in their own way but all of them possess EDX’s magical touch. “Szeplo” is a heavy favorite of mine with it’s gritty house horns in a a progression that bursts into a swift, mercurial drop!

Expect euphoric melodies, mellow bass and a fluid rhythm from this dream catching house producer. His sound is truly a unique flurry of progressive house and trance (trouse), so be sure to check him out at the Zoo; that’s where you’ll find me! One more thing, does anyone know what EDX stands for? It’s purported on his Facebook page that it stands for Enormous Diverse Xample but who knows, he’s still a genius. Check out his artist Beatport page where you can purchase all of his tracks!

Steve Edwards, Louis Botella & Joe Smooth – Promised Land (BOOTIK Remix) Avicii gave Chicago a little taste of how great this banger really is. The day that this track is released all of our problems will be resolved. This track is filed with uplifting piano leads and great vocals.
Patric La Funk & Inpetto – Blizzard (Original Mix) No need to wear a jacket during this blizzard. This mega progressive house smasher oozes melody and has a massive build up and an even bigger drop. If that isn’t enough for you just wait for the big room synth that caught the eyes of big names such as Tiesto and Sander van Doorn.

Hailing from Sweden, but raised in the UK, Eric Prydz knows how to conquer the hearts of the EDM fans. He just put out three crushable, smashable, winner, banger, call it whatever you want tracks under his alias name Pryda. It is tough to say which one is the best because each is so unique. Take a listen for yourself and I dare you not to start dancing.

Matisse & Sadko – Hi Scandinavia! vs Mylo (Drop The Pressure) As if Hi Scandinavia! and Mylo weren’t good enough alone, Russian duo Matisse & Sadko combines them both and adds a killer vocal to the back drop.

David Tort, Norman Doray – Chase The Sun (Thomas Gold Remix) Beware of the seductive vocals that lure you towards the sun, because this track takes a wrong turn and is smacked with some hard hitting bass.

Res / NO_ID – They Say Vision (NO_ID’s Rework) This is my kind of track, pretty easy going and jolly. The build is perfectly synced with with the electric keyboard (hopefully they are using a keytar)
Yummy L.Y. – Became An Adventure (Original Mix) Featured on Tiesto’s Club Life Episode 220, this track will spiral you into a never ending trance.
Bream & Blinders – New Life (Original Mix ) Pretty chillprogressive house track.
Tommy Trash – The End (Original Mix) This electro house track puts you in an Aladdin cartoon and someone is trying to make a snake come out of a basket. If that isn’t enough to intrigue you then I’m sure the deep synth lines will. Great banger to get the dance floor moving. FUEGO

And of course to finish it off, AVICII!!!! He has redefined the industry and last night he proved yet again why he is the Swedish Sensation. I have never seen such a large crowd of people attempting to hum the famous tune of Avicii’s Penguin, dooodoooduuudooodoooduuudooo (myself included of course). With all this spankin new heat being unleashed so early in the week Fuego Fridays seems like weeks away. I couldn’t wait, and it would be selfish of me not to share given the magnitude of fuego.

I’m not a huge fan dub-step, there’s no rhythm and people look like goons when they dance to it. But with Skrillex’s new release “More Monsters and Sprites EP” (click the link to purchase), I too will be one of those whomping goons trying to dance to dubstep, or as Skrillex calls it, “ruffneck bass”. I was pretty impressed with these tracks from the new release, did Kaskade really remix “Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites”? Boom pregnant, that just happened.

Funkagenda & Adam K – Drift (Original Club Mix) FUEGO! This track is amazing and is definitely one of the best progressive tracks I’ve heard since Deadmau5′s “Strobe” (bold, I know). Funkagenda has similar style to deadmau5 and Pryda, but is more tech-based. Raise your hands and sway your head to this tough but melodic big room house sound that features some trance elements and an anthem-style lead line.

David Guetta – Where Them Girls At feat. Flo Rida & Nicki Minaj (Tim Mason Remix) The creator of heavy hitting bomb “The Moment”, Tim Mason, has no problem giving this Guetta track some attitude. Around a minute in you’ll feel that energy burst that you normally feel from bolder house synths.

Swedish House Mafia – Save The World (Third Party Remix) I can’t promise that this won’t be the last of the “Save The World” remixes, but I can promise you that SIZE record’s newly acquired Third Party does some justice with their meaty remix.

Nicky Romero – Keyword (Original Mix) Released under Sander van Doorn’s respectable label, Frenchman Nicky Romero’s “Keyword” is a fast-paced club smasher that will strike you with some energy.

Alexandra Stan – Lollipop (Param Pam Pam) (Club Version) Romanian Alexandra Stan’s sound is so poppy but so addicting at the same time with its contagious dancefloor rhythm. If you were a fan of “Mr. Saxobeat” then you’ll dig this song; it’s not quite as catchy but it’s for sure something to throw on a summer playlist.

Avicii – Sweet Dreams (Gregori Klosman Remix) Gregori Klosman just made your dreams much sweeter! Damn, this track is straight fuegs with really crisp sound!

Feed Me – To The Stars (Original Mix) UK’s Jon Gooch, or Feed Me, is one of Mau5trap’s original family members who never fails to deliver quality electro heaters.

Pryda – Mirage (Global Gathering ID) Pryda, one of Eric Prydz many stage names, is back with monster track “Mirage” from his upcoming EP’ PRY020′, which will be released June 13th. This is a quality rip from his performance at the world coveted Global Gathering that beautifully depicts Pryda’s signature abstract progressive sound.

Workout Wednesdays: In the Zone

First, if you like what you see above, then you should definitely “like” my close friend Natalia Lalonde’s fanpage on facebook. Meanwhile, get in the zone during your workout because this progressive house/big room selection will make you feel HOT and BOTHERED! The melodic progressive builds are key to getting into a zone and rhythm while the epic drops power you through with short bursts of energy. For working out, I prefer most of my music to have minimal vocals and a constant rhythm. If there are lyrics, then I prefer them to be from a softer female singer. As you will see, the vocals for infectious anthem “Teenage Crime” have been beautifully crafted to majestically amalgamate with one of the most epic and emotional mind excursions in EDM.

Norman Doray, Sebastien Drums & Tim Berg – Tweet It This smasher is pivotal for starting your workout. It’s a nice little warm-up to say the least — those signature Avicii synths followed by the heavy bass get me everytime, FUEGS on FUEGS!

Little Boots – Remedy (Avicii Club Remix) English electro-pop star Little Boots provides us with soft, youthful, and yet propelling vocals for a good workout. Oh and of course, it’s remixed by some guy named Avicii, he’s kind of good.

Lissat & Voltaxx – Droid (D.O.N.S. Remix) This awesome track literally makes me feel like an overzealous Crussian droid from the year 3500. Sick drop with a superhuman feel, DROID DROID DROID!

Hardwell & Franky Rizardo – Asteroid (Original Mix) By far one of my favorite Hardwell tracks — big drops and a constant source for energy.

EDX – Szeplo This track is also up there for one of my favorites. EDX mindfully calculated this smasher to perfection with it’s ridiculously fluid rhythm and vast array of different sounding house elements that range from a deep blow horn to dreamy synths.

Adrian Lux – Teenage Crime (Axwell & Henrik B Remode) With Axwell’s finishing touches, this track has ‘peak-time smasher’ written all over it. It’s an upbeat progression from the get-go with looping teasing synths that culminate into a euphoric delirium. FUEGO.

Deadmau5 & Kaskade feat. Haley – I Remember (Vocal Mix) This works perfectly at the post-climax of your workout to keep you in a rhythm for a strong finish. Arguably Deadmau5‘s best work, the addition of Kaskade and Haley make this some of the best 10 minutes I’ve ever heard.

Gregor Salto & Laidback Luke – Step By Step (Big Room Mix) The name speaks for itself, Laidback Luke & Gregor Salto’s BIGROOM bomb! I could listen to Mavis Acquah‘s sumptuous voice any day, I hope to see some big collaborations with her this year.

Nanchang Nancy & Prok & Fitch – Walk With Me (Axwell vs. Daddy’s Groove Remix) Ah, there is so much heat packed behind this Axwell & Daddy’s Groove classic. This 2010 early summer anthem definitely has hypnotizing tempo with goosebump-inducing synths and soulful vocals.

Louie Vega & Jay ‘Sinister’ Sealee – Diamond Life feat. Julie McKnight (Daddy’s Groove Magic Island Rework) Welcome to the Diamond Life because I’m taking it to the clubs now. Julie McKnight’s mysterious and metaphysical vocals followed by two beautifully distinct drops (3:31 and 4:30) by Daddy’s Groove make this one of the most underrated tracks of 2010.

Gareth Emery & Above & Beyond pres. OceanLab – On A Good Day (Metropolis) – Extended Mix I’m not a huge trancehead but this is by far the best trance song I’ve ever heard. It’s everything about this song, like Justine Suissa’s fervent and tantalizing vocals that enable for such a strong connection with it’s listeners.

Taken from their soundcloud: “We always knew this was a special record, but the fans’ connection with its message and meaning has given it a life of its own in many ways. It really is a record that refuses to go away”, says Above & Beyond’s Tony McGuinness. OceanLab’s ‘On A Good Day’ originally featured on the 2008 LP ‘Sirens Of The Sea’, an album that reached #1 in the US iTunes dance chart, and was lauded in respected publications such as Mixmag and DJ Magazine. ‘On A Good Day’ remained a firm favorite in the sets of Above & Beyond – eventually receiving another lease of life when its vocals were married with Gareth Emery’s ‘Metropolis’ as a DJ bootleg by Hungarian duo Myon & Shane 54.

Virtually unchallenged by no one, Kaskade has been the king of mashups. His ability to morph a plethora of extremely different sounds together makes the thought of a morphing into werewolf plausible. These two tracks show how talented this mashup god really is. “Falling in Love With Brazil” is by far one of my favorites with Haley’s sexy vocals and the bangin’ progressive beats. His take on “Angel on my Shoulder Reaver 76″ demonstrates a more aggressive Kaskade as it is packed with massive drops.

I remember watching the 98 Miami Heat warm up to this song, there was nothing like TIm Hardaway’s crossover that made people look so silly! This is a perfect summer mash-up that will smash up the coastlines!

Anyway, I just got some clutch tracks in time for your soon-to-be fuego Friday. I’m going to stress on some monster remixes that efficiently shift the originals to a new sound.

Swedish House Mafia – Save The World feat. John Martin (Style Of Eye & Carli Remix) This bomb was rocked out by Calvin Harris during BBC Radio 1′s Big Weekend and impressed many to say the least. I feel like John Martin’s softer emotional vocals are hard to work with so it’s interesting to see what producers have been able to do with it. Swedes Style of Eye & and Carli conserve piano elements from the original and churn this track into an upbeat, feel-good, blood-pumping SMASHER! I’m looking forward to the remix package to release soon!

Calvin Harris – Awooga (Michael Brun Bootleg) I put up a rip of this track when it was featured on Electric Area‘s “Hardwell On Air 006″ which was decent quality and ~4 long. Now it’s time for a quality extended BOOTY! Awooga is amazing already but Michael Brun gives it a whole new twist by cutting and looping parts of the monster drop.

Imogen Heap – Hide And Seek (Otto Knows Bootleg) This is definitely one of those peak-time festival smashers that mirrors a hybrid of Avicii’s “Penguin” and “Drowning (Aviicii Remix). Beautifully put by one of best blogs Beat My Day : “Sprinkled by an absolute brilliant setting of piano leads, it comes just in time for what might be the best Summer yet for house and EDM. Gear up for the embellished appeal of perfectly compiled piano tones coming from on the rise-producer Otto Knows, graced with the smooth vocal from the world renowned London singer.”

Bingo Players – Cry (Just A Little) (Olav Basoski Remix) Dutch dance pioneer Olav Basoski tweaks up Bingo Player‘s “Cry” which, along with Steve Angello’s old track “Davali”, sampled Brenda Russell’s “Piano In The Dark“. The Bingo Players track is a great dance track but at times it can get a bit redundant, Olav gives it some new life.

Boys Will Be Boys – WE ROCK (Original Mix) If you didn’t know already, Boys Will Be Boys is Tiesto’s latest project with young Indonesian Angger Dimas and Dutch hardstyle duo Showtek. This release is completely different from the track on Tiesto’s “Club Life Vol. One: Las Vegas”. This version strays from the house style synths and takes on a much more clubby Tiesto outlook. You can definitely see where Tiesto takes over in this track with this classic chops that start around a minute in (similar chops to his “Escape Me”).

Boys Will Be Boys – WE TELL (Original Mix) I actually dig this much more than “We Rock”, it’s a spacier and calmer track that manages to keep a constant rhythm. Around 3:10 it gets epic with a harmonic build and beautiful drop!

Chris Brown & Benny Benassi – Beautiful People (Cosmic Dawn Club Remix) This is sick dance/house remix by Cosmic Dawn, a Norwegian dj and producer.

Kaskade vs Avicii – Sorry Bom (Kaskade Mash Up) Kaskade is a mash-up machine programmed to crush.

Alex Sayz – Free To Go feat. Nadia Ali (Original Mix) After hearing Alex Sayz‘s sleeper “Faces (Original Mix)” smash Tiesto’s ”Club Life Vol. One: Las Vegas”, I knew that this collaboration with club queen vocalist Nadia Ali would be straight fuego. It’s a darker progressive tune.

Neighbour – Toute Freak (DCUP Remix) Destroy the dance floor that you just created with funky fresh fuego by DCUP.

Marcus Schossow & Red Carpet – Alright 2011 (Marcus Schossow Remix) With a clubby progressive build, absorbing yet powerful vocals, and valiant synths and a hard-hitting Dada Life-like finish, this track is synonymous with winning!

Michael Woods – Burned You Away (Original Mix) This was definitely a hidden gem in my iTunes that struck out to me when I was jamming out to “Ministry of Sound Club: Residents – Michael Woods“. Get Ready For Some Electric Lovin

Dirty Vegas is one of those bands from high school everyone knows the songs of but has no idea who the artist is. After a 6 year hiatus, Steve Smith, Ben Harris and Paul Harris (strangely enough they have no relation), better known as Dirty Vegas, are back releasing their third studio album “Electric Love”. Best known for their single “Days Go By” (oooooo that song) off their self-titled album released in 2002 and “Human Love” off “One” in 2004, Dirty Vegas once again brings us an eclectic selection of old school house and electronic pop/rock that’s sure to get electronic music lovers jamming. Three tracks already receiving wide praise, especially in the EDM world, are Electric Love, Little White Doves, and Changes, with a ton of remixes to be released throughout the summer. Two tracks off the cd, Changes and Pressure, were released as an EP through Mark Knight’s label “Toolroom Records” to reintroduce Dirty Vegas back to the scene.

Electric Love-Dirty Vegas The first single off the new album, Electric Love is laidback, raw and sounds exactly like its name, sensual and synthy.

Little White Doves-Dirty Vegas Very Phoenix sounding, Little White Doves represents Dirty Vegas’s foray into the electronic pop/rock realm. Quick on the heels of Electric Love, Little White Doves is fast becoming the stand out track of the album.

Changes-Dirty Vegas One of my personal favorites, Changes has that 80’s disco synth sound that Calvin Harris features so prominently in his songs that has made a huge comeback in music these days, bringing dance back to music.

As an added bonus, below is a preview of the upcoming EC Twins remix of Little White Doves, which I had the pleasure of seeing live when they dropped it opening for Kaskade at Marquee Las Vegas’s opening party New Year’s weekend at the Cosmopolitan. No other song from their set hit as hard and even though no one had any idea what the track was at the time, the crowd was in a frenzy by the second drop.

And finally just for fun, the video for Day’s Go By is just so epic it had to be included. Nobody embodies what EDM is all about like this guy. Raging from morning until night.

Kaskade vs. Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike & Dada Life – Stars Align Tomorrow (Kaskade Mashup) Here’s the mash-up of the original mix in case you didn’t get when he dropped it. Definitely one of my favorites at the moment.

Kaskade vs. Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike & Dada Life – Stars Align Tomorrow (Digital LAB & Pedro Henriques Dub) (Kaskade Mash Up) This mash-up is much heavier, its build reminds me of Thomas Gold and its drop mimics Albin Myers’ style.

Tiesto absolutely crushed with his “Club Life Vol. One: Las Vegas” compilation that was released the first week of April (You can purchase it on beatport here). It featured “Don’t Ditch“, “Blessed“, “Zero 76 “, and “C’Mon“, just to name a few anthems. Here’s some other amazing tracks that were featured that I haven’t posted previously.

Alex Sayz – Faces (Original Mix) Get your club on with this track as Stockholm native, Alex Sayz, delivers a euphoric existence on the dance floor. This is definitely one of my favorite tracks Tiesto dropped live.

Kaskade – Fire In Your New Shoes feat. Martina Of Dragonette (Sultan & Ned Shepard’s Electric Daisy Remix) This track is timeless and can be rocked out whenever. Sultan & Ned have been killing it recently.

Dune – Heiress Of Valentina (Alesso Exclusive Mix) Alesso has received MASSIVE support from pretty much every producer/DJ right now (especially SHM), and you’ll see why. Never will you see such an incredible house track that combines vocals from a ridiculously winy emo singer so efficiently.

Amy Meredith – Young At Heart (Angger Dimas Remix) Twenty-two year old Indonesian phenom, Angger Dimas, is the next Laidback Luke (yeah I just said it). As his facebook page puts it:

“If Nasi Goreng, the mash up of rice, egg and vegetables is Indonesia’s nation food dish then DJ and producer Angger Dimas represents Indonesia’s national music dish with his mash up of chopped beats and pumping synths that are topped off with some Dutch inspired spicy sounds!”

Tiësto – Green Sky (Original Mix) “Green Sky” is Tiesto’s latest track that was released for free. This jam conserves Tiesto’s classic trance sounds.

Marco Demark – Tiny Dancer (Deadmau5 Remix)—>This song is an oldie but still a goodie. Marco Demark samples Elton Johns “Tiny Dancer” and then Deadmau5 adds the finishing touches, creating this chill masterpiece.

Remember that young Swedish producer who changed everyone’s life with “Teenage Crime“, well he’s back with some great new remixes filled with synth.

King of Tomorrow – Finally (Adrian Lux Time Machine Remix)

Rebecca & Fiona – Bullets (Nause & Adrian Lux Remix)—Rebecca & Fiona have been tearing up the Stockholm club scene with their clubby stomps and electronic poppy beats.

Alex Metric & Steve Angello – Open Your Eyes (Tim Mason Remix)—> Tim Mason is killing it right now, with his new track The Moment and now his take on Angello’s “Open Your Eyes”. I’m expecting him to start blowing up in the next few weeks and provide us all with more uplifting music.

Tonite Only – We Run The Nite (Tristan Garner Vocal Mix)—> Tristan Garner does it again. Crushing the synth drops

Kaskade – Step One Two (Laurent Wolf Club Mix)—> How can smooth vocals and hard hitting beats sound so good?

Siege – Lox (Instrumental Mix) w/ Flashback (Acappella)—Calvin Harris‘s Flashback and Eric Prydz’s Pjanoo are two of my favorite songs, so when I came across this track I almost had a fun-attack. The actually track that is mixed with Flashback is called Lox, from Belgium Dj and producer Siege. Don’t you worry, as soon as Siege releases any more of his fire I’ll be sure to spread the love.

Tank – I Can’t Make You Love Me (John Dahlback Remix)—- This track sounds like it could be playing on the radio soon, so lets all enjoy it before mainstream media ruins it. Dahlback’s progressive builds with Tanks R&B vocals is definitely crushing it.

Sandy Rivera & Yasmeen – Love (Daddys Groove Remix)—Daddy is home and he’s brought some LOVE. Daddy’s Groove provides us yet again with a banging remix with an extra dosage of synth. Do this song its justice and play it so loud that your ears start to bleed. Lets all keep our fingers crossed in hope that Daddy’s Groove transforms Axwell’s “King of Heart” mini into a MEGA.
